Next, we will visit the Ilgumensky rapids on the Katun River, which are very popular with rafters. We will descend to its unusual dark boulders, walk along the riverbed, and enjoy the landscapes that open up from the river.
Then we will climb to 1,295 meters above sea level and stop at the Chike Taman Pass observation deck with souvenir shops, where we will enjoy breathtaking views and purchase local souvenirs.
We will drive through the wooded Seminsky Pass, the border between Northern and Central Altai. As we climb, we will observe how the deciduous pine forest gives way to sparse cedar trees. At the observation deck, you can drink coffee and breathe in the pine-scented air.
At around 4 p.m., we will stop for lunch at a popular café with a view. From there, we will head straight to Gorno-Altaysk Airport, arriving at around 6 p.m.
Here, you will say goodbye to Altai and fly home feeling strong and refreshed!
At 8:00 a.m. on the last day of our tour, we will meet for an awakening practice, have breakfast, and leave the base at 10:00 a.m. We will return to Gorno-Altaysk, visiting natural and historical sights along the way, accompanied by the guide's stories about Altai and the places we see.
Along the way, we will stop to have a snack, stretch our legs, and meditate in beautiful scenic locations.
We will stop to see the Kalbak-Tasha petroglyphs, a site of flat stones with images of people, animals, everyday life, and traditions of the peoples who inhabited these territories from the Neolithic to the ancient Turkic era.
Further along the route, from the observation deck, we will admire the confluence of the colorful Chui and Katun rivers.
Near the village of Inya, we will see the Ininsky Bridge, nicknamed “Tsaplinsky” after its designer. It was the first double-chain suspension bridge built in Russia in 1936 and has become a cultural heritage monument.
