About
“Tours for the Soul” with the Travel League is a project by the League of Heroes, whose goal is to show people unique corners of our beautiful planet!
The main destination of our trip is Teriberka, a unique place in the far north of Russia. This small village on the shores of the Barents Sea is a true paradise for lovers of northern nature and atmospheric travel.
Teriberka is a village in the Murmansk region, located above the Arctic Circle on the Murmansk coast of the Kola Peninsula at the mouth of the river of the same name, where it flows into Teriberka Bay on the Barents Sea.
A land at the edge of the Earth awaits us, beyond which lies only the ocean and the North Pole, with its unique atmosphere and aesthetics, deep nights with northern lights, short bright days, cold expanses of land and sea, the call of whales, the cries of reindeer herders and dog sled teams, lunches in cozy restaurants serving northern cuisine with hot pies and smorrebrod, soup made from red ocean fish, crab meat, venison cutlets with lingonberry sauce, and a fiery liqueur made from the incredibly delicious cloudberry — these are experiences that will last a lifetime!

program
A warm welcome in Murmansk!
The wooden cottages are equipped with everything you need: heating and hot water, a toilet, shower, and free Wi-Fi.
After checking in, we will have lunch at the Polar Whale restaurant. Then we will meet for a general meeting in the lobby of our hotel. At around 4 pm, we will go on a 2-hour walk around old Teriberka. We will see the famous shipwreck cemetery, walk along the sandy beach, swing on a giant swing overlooking the bay, and visit a small reindeer farm.

For dinner, we will go to a local restaurant with a beautiful view of the bay. Upon returning home, we will go on our first hunt for the northern lights. If we are lucky enough to catch them, you will be.
Our journey begins in the northern city of Murmansk.
Murmansk is the largest city in the world located above the Arctic Circle. It is situated on the rocky eastern coast of the Kola Peninsula in the Barents Sea. Murmansk is one of Russia's largest ports and the only Russian port above the Arctic Circle that does not freeze over thanks to the warm North Atlantic Current. From early December to mid-January, night reigns in the city, and from late May to late July, day reigns.
Our small group will meet at the Murmansk airport and depart for Teriberka at 11:00 a.m.

Upon arrival in Teriberka, we will check into the luxurious Cedar Grass Hotel, which offers stunning views of the sea coast, picturesque cliffs, and hills. Here we will be able to enjoy the beauty of wild nature in very comfortable conditions.
Day 1
program
After the boat trip, there will be time to relax and explore the surroundings of the village on your own, visit the northernmost brewery in Teriberka, or spend time at the hotel.

For dinner, around 8:30 p.m., we will try delicious dishes made from seafood from the Barents Sea at the Grebeshki restaurant.
After dinner, we will try our luck at seeing the northern lights!

We will track the northern lights not only through the SolarHam.com website, which publishes information about solar flares and the Kp index. Our guide will make his own precise mathematical calculations based on the published data. Few people do this! This calculation will increase the probability of predicting the northern lights. The more intense the solar activity, the more noticeable and brighter the lights. Let's hope we get lucky!
We wake up and go down for breakfast. A unique buffet breakfast with a panoramic view of the bay awaits us – the best morning above the Arctic Circle!

Right after breakfast, we will have the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood. After lunch, a three-hour sea adventure and gastronomic tour awaits us. At the pier of old Teriberka, we meet the captain on board the ship and set off!

It won't be easy to spot a whale, so we'll spend two hours combing the sea in search of whales, working together with other captains via radio! The boat crew that spots the whale first will get a group photo as a souvenir! In addition to whales, there is a good chance of encountering seals, killer whales, and even ringed seals!

We will also have a professional diver with us who will dive into the sea and catch sea urchins and scallops for us. The captain of the ship will tell us many interesting details about how to cook them, and we will all taste the fresh delicacies together with a stunning view. Those who wish can go fishing.
Today we will get a taste of the real wild Arctic nature!
Day 2
program
Exploring the tundra and returning to the capital of the Arctic, Murmansk
On the way to the waterfall, we will turn off to Dragon Eggs Beach, named after the round boulders on the shore that have been shaped by water and time, and visit an abandoned weather station.

At around 1 p.m., we will have lunch at a restaurant and depart for Murmansk.

Then, depending on the participants' departure times, we will take one part of the group to the airport and the other to the capital of the Arctic for some leisurely shopping and exploring the city.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will set off on a trekking tour to the picturesque Batareysky Waterfall, a fabulous beach, and an abandoned weather station. If there is a lot of snow, we will go on snowmobiles.

From the nearest hill, we will have an incredible view of the Arctic Ocean and Maloe Batareyskoe Lake.

Batareysky Waterfall is located between rocks, where you can feel the full power and force of the water element!
